Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010

Okay - here's the Edinburgh Festival Fringe stats this year: 40,245 performances; 2,453 shows; a 17% increase on last year (shows, that is - not necessarily audiences). The Festival Fringe brochure is 344 pages long.And there we are at the bottom of page 303 with our parrymelia production of 'What Would Helen Mirren Do?' Playwright wins NWS New Play Award in Brighton Festival Fringe first

After 3 weeks and 40 plays we have a winner! Gytha Lodge gets the first New Writing South Best New Play Award for her play OTHERWISE. Crushed into our new, but rather bijou, meeting room all the judges agreed this play was a find and a diamond. Kefi and Andrew led on the winning play - they were the first one to see it.Consensus was that it was a poor production in a less than satisfactory venue but the play shone through regardless.
